1Q:Real time system land scape:

1.Generally, Business Analysts upload the project related documents in Solution manager.

2.Developer get the Functional specification document(FS) from the solution manager.

3.Developer read the FS carefully and discuss with functional people about the FS.This is 

called as “FS walkthrough”.

4.After that Abaper prepare the MOM document and send to the Functional owner.

MOM document: Every project has one template to fill the MOM document.In this document, Abaper fill the open questions and clarifications on FS and send to functional owner.

5.After that,Abaper prepare the Technical specification Document(TD) with Flow short and logic.

6.After that,Abaper create Transport request (TR) with Naming standards in Development system.
7.After that,Abaper develop the object based on Technical specification document.

8.After completing the development,Abaper send a mail to functional owner for requesting 

Test data in development system.

9.After getting the test data,Abaper test the object in Development system.

10.If object is working fine as per test data then Abaper prepare the Unit test plan document(UTP) and send a mail to functional people with screen shots.

11.After completing the object, Senior Abaper do the code review.

He will check the naming conventions and performance in code.

12. After that,TR move to Quality system.

13.In Quality system,Functional people do the testing by using proper test data.

14.If every thing is ok in Quality system then They will move the TR to Production system.

15.After that Abaper upload all the documents in Solution manager.

Ex: Technical specfication document,Unit test plan,MOM document,Etc.

2Q.What is the Solution manager(Solman)?

Generally, Solution manager is called as “SOLMAN”.Solman is a  tool.This  is used for 

project management, documentation, system support, defect tracking and many other requirements associated with an SAP implementation.

For Example: Functional Specification Documents(FS),Technical Specification Documents(TD),Unit Test Plans(UTP),Etc.
